Bat. Power Oy continuously strives through its actions to reduce the carbon footprint and environmental harm related to products, packaging, services, and logistics. We are committed to preventing harmful environmental impacts and pollution, as well as to the continuous improvement of our environmental management system.
Our environmental management system is based on the ISO 14001 environmental standard and a commitment to comply with legislation and regulatory requirements to promote sustainable development.
Products
When forming product selections, in addition to price and quality features, we pay attention to the environmental impact of the product’s entire life cycle. Environmental considerations are clearly highlighted in our marketing.
Packaging
For Wave brand products, we continue our active efforts to improve the environmental features of packaging by using eco-friendly recyclable cardboard packaging instead of plastic.
We continuously strive to reduce the amount of packaging waste by rationalizing retail and wholesale packaging sizes.
We also reduce invoicing-related impact by switching from paper invoices to electronic invoicing.
Waste Management
We participate in waste management by recycling and sorting waste such as paper, cardboard, Styrofoam, plastic, and stretch wrap, as well as WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment), in cooperation with recycling companies.
Special attention is paid to minimizing landfill waste.
Logistics
We aim to reduce energy use, emissions, and waste generation through an electronic order picking system and by improving logistics efficiency.
By shifting more imported goods transport from air freight to sea freight, we significantly reduce the environmental impact of shipping.
We also actively reduce the environmental impact of domestic deliveries by consolidating shipments.
Facilities and Staff
Bat. Power Oy encourages its staff to support environmentally friendly practices.
Our logistics center’s modern, energy-efficient heating and lighting systems, waste management, and other environmental aspects are key factors in our operations.
